The Rush: cover reveal

It’s a rite of passage for authors – the moment we get to reveal the finished cover for our book. I’m delighted to share Simon & Schuster Australia’s brilliant design of THE RUSH…

It’s everything a thriller cover should be – bold and foreboding, intriguing, tempting.

More than that, it capture THE RUSH story so well.

That bright orange dirt…Anyone who’s travelled northern South Australia will recognise it. Ranging from Kaurna land in the south, to Nukunu country and into Adnyamathanha country.

It’s not a spoiler to say the colour orange also connects with the Netherlands, and I’m thrilled my author names uses that colour.

Then there’s the brooding dark clouds. Rain on a windscreen. Glass awash, reducing visibility. Imagine yourself in that car, driving a highway down the centre of Australia with newfound friends.

Thank you Luke Causby of Blue Cork design. Magnificent!

I want to thank the amazing authors who read The Rush and provided the endorsements: Mark Brandi, Shelley Burr, Kelli Hawkins, Neela Janakiramanan, Vikki Petraitis, Hayley Scrivenor and Greg Woodland. I hope I can return the favour one day.

I’d love your feedback. Let me know in the comments below or join me on one of my social media channels, using #TheRushNovel.

You can also visit the book on the Simon & Schuster website and see links to pre-order the book. That way, you’re assured it’ll be rushed to you as soon as it’s published in May this year.
