‘Awards season’

Well, we’ve had the Golden Globes and we’ve had the Emmy Awards – now it’s time for some bookish Australian awards.

I had no idea that January was a busy season for the literary award calendar – but it seems it is! The Rush is nominated for a couple of awards and I hope you’ll take a few minutes to vote for it.

Firstly, there’s the Dymocks Top 101.

Secondly, Booktopia’s Australia’s Favourite Australian Book (or the FAB awards).

Compared to authors who have been publishing for many years and grown a big network of supporters, I’m a comparatively small fish. That means every vote counts.
